Owl

Owl. Created from a range of off-cuts and waste. Body and head are box section. Eyes are made by the fabricator making holes for bolts - and these lovely discs are punched out and chucked in the bin. Wings are bits of sheet steel. Legs and neck tiny bits of bar. For the owl I like to use some bigger bar to give a fat neck as I think owls have a wide neck to allow it to be able to turn so much.
The owl is one of a range of birds I have created that are given a perch on the handle of an old spade (or shovel!). The Spade is attached to an old brake disc giving a solid, flat base. These can then be placed straight into the customers garden.
